We are committed to ensuring Tacoma students who speak, write and read one or more world languages earn the credits and recognition they deserve for their language proficiency. Competency testing and high-quality language instruction in class are both pathways to credit and potentially the Seal of Biliteracy for our students. Competency testing makes it possible for students to demonstrate proficiency in any language, even languages not offered at our schools.
