Student Services

Student Services provides a full continuum of services for the Tacoma Public Schools' more than 30,000 students. We oversee the district’s special education programs, which serve students ages 3 through 21 who qualify for special education. We also provide health services including health education, nursing services and ensuring the environmental safety of our facilities.

Special Education

Our district special education program serves approximately 4,000 students from pre-school to high school. We provide specially designed instruction and related services based on the needs of each individual student.
