Tacoma Whole Child is a 4-shift continuous improvement framework that proactively supports youth socially, emotionally and academically. Tacoma Public Schools, in an ongoing partnership with the University of Washington Tacoma, promotes district and school organizational change through engaging, research-based academic and behavioral practices. TWC employs a systems-building approach using data-driven problem solving to maximize growth for all. The goals for TWC are comprehensive and sustainable academic, social emotional behavioral change for students, staff, leadership, and families alike.
