Volunteers Benchmark

Tacoma Public Schools recognizes the diverse talents and skills of our community members. Volunteers fill an important role in all our Tacoma Public Schools. Dedicated volunteers can mentor and inspire students and provide new opportunities beyond what schools can.

Today, it takes a whole village to educate and prepare students for living and working in the 21st century. Whether you are a member of your community with no children in school, a parent interested in helping in a classroom or a motivated student looking to give back, the Tacoma Public Schools can use your help!

The District adheres to all regulations and policies that govern our volunteer base to ensure student safety and promote educational & positive social-emotional growth & development.

Understanding the data

The benchmark displays the number of registered volunteers over time.

Because a school year includes two calendar years, such as 2014-2015, the school year on the benchmark chart is identified by the second calendar year. For example, the 2014-2015 school year is identified as 2015 on the chart.

Data retrieval schedule
