Welcome to the Stewart Middle School Library
Welcome to the Stewart library where we strive to make everyone feel welcome, supported and inspired.
Our Collection: Stewart library has a collection that has been developed over the past couple of years. Our collection has over 8,500 items and the average copyright of our collection is 2006, one of the newest middle school collections in the district. We work to create a collection that appeals to and represents our diverse student population.
Digital resources: At Stewart we work to support students in becoming savvy consumers of information in this digital world and global society. We work to identify and use the highest quality resources including those available to us from the Tacoma Public Library from the Pathways Program.
Programming: The Stewart library tries to support students in and out of the classroom through collaboration with classroom teachers. We work to inspire lifelong learning and a culture of reading by matching students with high quality, culturally diverse books of interest. We work to connect the classroom to the world by supporting Skype field trips and author visits. As part of the greater Stewart community we work with community partners and have a presence at community and school events.
