STAFFORD WINS SCHOOL OF DISTINCTION AWARD 2010, 2013 and 2014
Once again we are pleased to announce that Stafford Elementary school has the honor of being one of the 5% highest improving schools in the state of Washington for increased Reading and Math achievement over the past 5 years.
Stafford Elementary recieved the 2013 School of Distinction Award from the
Center for Educational Effectiveness and Phi Delta Kappa - Washington State
Chapter. Stafford also won this award in 2010.
"Educators in these schools are creating systems of support for
outstanding, sustained improvement in Reading and Math student
performance", Sue Mills, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Center for
Educational Effectiveness, said. "This award celebrates the multi-year
improvement in both Reading and Math not recognized in the federal No Child
Left Behind law or in the year-to-year calculations of "Adequate Yearly
Progress", said Mills.
