Stadium High School receives opportunities every year to nominate and award scholarships to Stadium students. In order to be considered for the listed scholarship awards and other opportunities, the following application must be completed.

Applicants will be considered for a variety of scholarships appropriate to their qualifications as indicated in their application.

You are also encouraged to apply for independent scholarships posted on the College & Career Center website and through other organizations.

WHO CAN APPLY: Stadium High School Seniors with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher!



For your application to be considered complete, you must also print and complete the Confidential Financial Information ​Form and return it to Mrs. Needham in Room 201 by Friday, February 16, 2018.

Scholarship Descriptions
Blossom Benefit Scholarship Fund
The Blossom Benefit Scholarship is to support ongoing education for one female senior at Stadium High School who is actively involved in our community to better the world we currently live in. She must plan to attend a vocational school, a 2 or 4 year college, or university as a full-time student. The student must be involved in community service, and have maintained at least a 3.0 grade point average. The scholarship is in the amount of $500.00 (Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).​

 ​Albert D. Hayes College Scholarship Fund
The Albert D. Hayes College Scholarship is for one graduating senior at Stadium High School who plans to attend a two-year or four-year college or university. The student shall be selected based on scholarship, citizenship, and financial need. The scholarship is in the amount of $500.00 (Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).​​

​​Paul Healy Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Paul Healy Memorial Scholarship is for one graduating senior at Stadium High School who plans to attend a two-year or four-year college or university. The student selected must be in need of financial assistance, and demonstrate a talent in the field of literature, poetry, and writing. If applicants are equal in the selection process, please consider the students’ active participation in the Associated Student Body as the deciding factor. The scholarship is in the amount of $1,000.00 (One Thousand Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).

The Jack Lloyd Band Scholarship Endowment Fund
The Jack Lloyd Band Scholarship is for one graduating senior at Stadium High School who plans to attend a two-year or four-year college and major or minor in music. The student should have been a member of the Stadium Band for three years, a Concert or Symphonic Band member, a participant in solo or ensemble contests, and an exemplary student with exceptional musical ability. The scholarship is in the amount of $400.00 (Four Hundred Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).

George A. Lund Scholarship Fund
The George A. Lund Scholarship is for one graduating senior at Stadium High School who will attend the University of Washington to pursue a career in engineering, business, math, or science. The scholarship committee should consider aptitude, academic performance, and character of applicants in deliberations. The scholarship is in the amount of $800.00 (Eight Hundred Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).

Paul Margelli Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Paul Margelli Memorial Scholarship is for one graduating senior music student at Stadium High School who plans to attend college after graduation. The scholarship is in the amount of $200.00 (Two Hundred Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).

Barbara Adell Rowland Culinary Scholarship
The Barbara Adell Rowland Scholarship Fund will support one graduating senior from Stadium High School who has a minimum GPA of 1.5 and who plans to study culinary arts and education at a vocational school or a two or four year college. The student will be required to write a 250-word essay on goals for the culinary arts. The scholarship is in the amount of $300.00 (Three Hundred Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).

Marv Shain Endowment Fund
The Marv Shain Endowment Scholarship is for one graduating senior at Stadium High School who plans to attend a post-secondary school. The student should have been involved in the fine or performing arts and/or other student activities while attending Stadium High School. The student must have maintained a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and have attended Stadium High School for a minimum of three years. The scholarship is in the amount of $600.00 (Six Hundred Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).

Dodie Shelton Arts Scholarship Fund
The Dodie Shelton Arts Scholarship Fund is for one graduating senior from Stadium High School who plans to study the arts, including visual, literary, or performing arts; art history; or teaching of these subjects. The student must have maintained a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, and plan to attend a vocational school or a two- or four-year college or university. The scholarship is in the amount of $1,600.00 (One Thousand Six Hundred Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).

William W. Kilworth Scholarship Fund
The William W. Kilworth Scholarship is for graduating seniors who plan to attend one of the following colleges or universities: University of Puget Sound, University of Washington, Washington State University, University of Oregon, or Oregon State University. The students selected shall have received good grades while in high school, shall possess good character and need financial assistance in order to obtain a college education. Each scholarship is in the amount of $1,250.00 (One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and No Cents) total and is for 1 year (nonrenewable).​ Scholarships will be awarded to one student from each of the following high schools: Stadium, Lincoln, Wilson, and Clover Park. The award may not be split among additional students without prior approval from the Community Foundation.
