The Tacoma School District offers competitive benefits to all .5 or greater full time equivalent (FTE) eligible employees through The Sound Partnership.

School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) Program- Starting January 1, 2020

The Sound Partnership offers:​

Medical: Choice of five medical plans. Employee cost  is dependent upon which plan is chosen and actual benefit FTE.

2018-2019: Summary of plans and employee cost

Dental: Choice of two dental plans. Summary of plans and employee cost

Vision: Davis Vision Plan is offered at no cost to employees and their eligible dependents with options for non-Davis providers.  Vision Plan Summary

Life: Basic $25,000 free life insurance with options to increase coverage and include family members.  Summary of plans and employee cost                  

Long Term Disability: Available at no cost providing 60% of base salary up to a maximum of $5,000 per month.  LTD Plan Summary
Group Legal: Purchase coverage through ARAG, including coverage for wills, power of attorney, adoptions, etc. 
Employee Assistance Program:
Provided at no cost to employees and their eligible dependents. Three FREE visits for assessment regarding mental health, family counseling and/or substance abuse.
