See how we're doing
Tacoma Public Utilities’ recent discovery of lead water pipe connections near homes within our district prompted us to review our results from previous water testing completed at some of our schools, which revealed some results that went unnoticed. For the safety of our students and staff members, we are conducting an immediate, complete audit of all past water quality test results, testing procedures, maintenance practices and communications to ensure a systematic and consistent approach.
For context, read chronological updates on what happened the week of April 25, 2016, as the district researched test results and processes of its voluntary water testing program.
Read our fact sheet for a status of schools previously tested between 2013 and March 2016.
