Program Expectations Self-Assessment [Spring 2019]

Video Record Your Performance Review

Task: Create a 90-120 second video.  Then, upload the file to the internet and send us the link using THIS FORM.

Purpose: A digital yet personal check-in with the Next Move Coaches.

  Tips:

--- Try not to over think this assignment.  It really is just a check-in with the Next Move Coaches.  If it's well-done, we might share it with the administration or other interested interns.

--- We are not expecting this video to be edited.  Unless you already have video-editing skills, please attempt to record the video in a single take.  It will definitely be simplest to do something like this: camera ON + you talk + camera OFF + save + upload file + send link

--- Draft a SCRIPT (with at least bullet points) in advance to be a guide as you speak at the camera.  See prompts below.

--- Insert photos or record on site, if possible.  Always ask advance permission from your supervisor before recording anything.

--- This is an individual assignment and is not meant to be done in a team.

--- Your script should include responses to the following 6 prompts:

       1.  Introduce yourself, your internship site, and give a brief overview of the work that you have been doing.

       2.  Share two of your internship goals.  Describe the progress you have been making and share any evidence you have collected so far.

       3.  Share one struggle you have faced this semester and how you have been working to overcome this challenge.

       4.  Share one success you have experienced this semester and why it is significant to you.

       5.  How do you hope to continue to grow at your site over the rest of the semester?

       6.  How is this internship experience helping you prepare for life after high school?

Want to see an example?  Check out Elsa's video interning in the Manufacturing Industry.

When is this due?  As soon as you have a professional product worthy of posting online, preferably by Friday, March 28th.
