WSECU (WA State Employees Credit Union) Scholarship

​Opens: 12/15/16     Award: $65,000 Total (Multiple awards)
  • Must be a WSECU member
  • Must plan to be enrolled as a full time student Fall 2017

Pride Foundation Scholarship

  • Program is commited to supporting LGBTQ and allied students

National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship Program
Deadline: 1/18/17    Award: $1,000 - $3,000 each (over $1 million total awarded to 800 last year)
  • Must have MS or have a parent living with MS

SAE Engineering Scholarship
Deadline: 3/15/17     Award: Multiple awards
  • Eight different scholarships available to students planning a career in Engineering, Science, or Technology
  • Plan to enroll Fall 2017 in an engineering program accredited by ABET

Washington Crossing Foundation
Deadline:  1/15/17     Award: $500 to $5,000 each (Multiple awards)
  • Ideal for students who are interested in government or military service
  • Complete an Application (Cover Page), including Letter of Recommendation and Transcripts

Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship
Deadline: 1/26/17 (postmarked)     Award: $1,500 each (40 awards)
Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must submit an application, essay, and letters of recommendation

American Indian Endowed Scholarship
Deadline: 2/01/17     Award: Up to $2,000 (Multiple awards)
  • HS seniors who plan to enroll full time at an IN-STATE college
  • Must demonstrate financial need, be a Washington state resident, intend to use his/her education to benefit the in-state American Indian community

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Scholarship
Deadline: 2/01/17 (postmarked)  
  • Available for seniors of African American origin AND reside in South King, Pierce, or Thurston counties
  • Must be planning to attend a four-year college or begin at a two-year college and transfer to a four-year college
  • Application available in the Career Center

Tacoma Links Scholarship
Deadline: 2/10/17
  • Must be a US citizen of African descent pursuing an undergraduate degree or technical training at an accredited technical college
  • Must be graduating from high school, continuing his/her educational training, or be attending a college or university in the USA during the current school year
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher
  • Applications must be typed; handwritten applications will not be accepted and will disqualify the applicant

ACPE Scholarship
Deadline: 2/01/17 (opens 12/01/16)     Award: $10,000 Total (4 awards at $2,500 each)
  • Senior who plans to pursue studies in a technology related field to obtain the minimum of a two-year degree
  • Demonstrate high interest and innovative use of technology during high school
  • Demonstrate some community/school involvement, preference of technology focus
  • Have created a simple website describing your own technology project, and including links to evidence for that project

BBB Students of Integrity Scholarship
Deadline: 2/13/17     Award: $10,000
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Group applications allowed (no more than three students)
  • Create a 90-second video explaining how BBB helps people become smart consumers

Leadership 1000 Scholarship
Deadline: 2/28/17     Award: Up to $20,000 (60 awards)
  • Must be a Washington state resident
  • Must be enrolled in a Washington state approved college or university Fall 2017

Sound Scholarship

  • Graduating high school senior in good standing
  • Average 3.0 GPA
  • Member of Sound Credit Union
  • Must be the prime member of their own account as of 11/26/16

Jerry Beckendorf Community Service Scholarship
Deadline: 3/01/17 (opens 1/01/17)     Award: $1,500
  • Be a high school student within Pierce County, WA
  • Have a parent/legal guardian who is a member of a labor Union
  • Plan on attending community college, university, junior college, trade, or technical school in the fall of 2017
  • Write a 500 word essay describing his/her volunteer experience and how it has impacted his/her life
  • Provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or another adult that can speak to the student's character and community service experience
