Volunteer to help support our students

Dedicated volunteers can mentor and inspire students and provide new opportunities beyond what schools can. Whether you are a member of your community with no children in school, a parent interested in helping in a classroom or a motivated student looking to give back, Tacoma Public Schools can use your help!

Become a volunteer

Step 1- Complete the application below that best fits your role (parent, community member, volunteer coach, etc.).

Step 2- Contact the school where you want to volunteer to submit your application and to learn about the available volunteer opportunities at that school.

Please allow up to 2 weeks to complete the application and background clearance process.
