(Chicago, Illinois) -- The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to Tacoma School District No. 10 by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its annual financial report (AFR).  The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

Ashburn, VA – 2022 – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is pleased to award Tacoma School District No. 10 the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE). ASBO International’s COE recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency. The school district earned the Certificate of Excellence for its Annual Financial Report (AFR) for the fiscal year ended 2021.

The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Award is earned by public and non-profit agencies that demonstrate a commitment to procurement excellence in innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement, and leadership. Tacoma School District was again awarded this achievement for 2020, marking 11 consecutive years.
