Enrollment and Choice Services

At Tacoma Public Schools we recognize that every child is an individual with a unique learning style, personality and talent. That's why we offer a variety of learning environments to fit every child's need and why we offer CHOICE ENROLLMENT- meaning parents can select the school that is the right fit for their child.

Tacoma Schools educates students from age three to age 21 in a variety of learning environments aimed at providing individualized education that holds all students to high standards of achievement.

At this time Mason MS and Truman MS are not accepting transfer applications. They continue to exceed building/program capacity and need to maintain space for students residing in their attendance areas.

Boundary Meeting Map.jpg Boundary Line Changes shift the home school for some students.

The decisions to move school boundaries was not made lightly. A team of parents and principals worked since September to redraw boundary lines between schools in West Tacoma to accommodate the opening of Wainwright Intermediate School, and their recommendations have been approved.

Parents/Guardians of students who are impacted by boundary changes will receive letters with detailed information.
