2019-20 Preschool Application Opens June 3

We review three factors when accepting students in our preschool programs:

  1. Age:  Children must be 3 or 4 years old on or before Aug. 31 at the start of the program year. Priority is given to children who turn 4 before Aug. 31 of the current program year.
  2. Address:  Preschool programs are only open to those families living within the boundaries of the Tacoma School District.
  3. Income:  Families with an annual household income below 400 percent of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) will receive priority consideration for free programs when space is available.

To apply for preschool, complete an online application. Due to limited space, students are placed based on priority (not first-come, first-served).

If your child has an IEP (Individualized Education Program), please contact 253-571-2610 directly for enrollment.

Current preschool students do not reapply each year.
