The Multilingual Learner Newcomer Summer Learning Program provides newly arrived students in Grades 6–12 the opportunity to enhance their English language development and academic readiness skills.
Date: July 6 – August 6, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Monday – Thursday; No school on Fridays)
Location: Lincoln High School, 701 S. 37th St., Tacoma, WA 98418
Transportation:
- Parents are responsible for arranging transportation.
- Students may use free public transportation (city bus) with a student ID.
Program Highlights:
- English Language Development: Improve English proficiency through immersive activities, interactive lessons, and engaging conversation practice.
- Academic Preparation: Strengthen and expand grade-level skills to ensure readiness for the upcoming school year.
- Social and Emotional Support: Build connections and confidence through team-building activities, group discussions, and fun recreational outings.
