Middle School Summer Learning

We offer a number of programs geared specifically toward individual student needs. Teachers and schools identify students and send invitations. As a parent, if you see a program you think your child would benefit from but have not received an invitation, contact your school or the program for more information.


 

Middle School Jump Start 

For all incoming 6th grade students. An increased academic workload and new ideas introduced can make the middle school transition a challenge.  These are important days for incoming middle school students to start developing the skills needed to be successful. In addition to receiving help finding classrooms, opening lockers, meeting teachers and navigating the cafeteria; student will learn important learning strategies they can use to start the school year strong!  Don't let your student miss out. All 6th grade students should plan on attending and are automatically enrolled for Jump Start when they enroll in Middle School. (Hunt Middle School is opening Jump Start to all grades this year.)

Dates

Aug. 23 - 26, 8:30 a.m. to noon for all middle schools, except Stewart. Stewart runs from 8:30 to 2 p.m.

Hunt Middle School is opening Jump Start to all grades this year.
