9th Grade Jump Start

Schools: Foss, Lincoln, Mt Tahoma, Silas and Stadium
Program Date: August 25, 2026 
Time: 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Meals: Breakfast 9 a.m. - Lunch 12:15 p.m.  
Transportation: Will be provided from the school’s middle school feeder locations. Route times will be posted in July 2026.

9th grade Jump Start helps incoming high school freshmen navigate the academic and social landscape of high school.

During Jump Start, students will get help with time management skills and social-emotional development. They’ll also find their classrooms, learn school routines and start making connections with peers and teachers.

Jump Start helps students feel prepared and confident as they begin their high school journey.

All incoming 9th graders at our five comprehensive high schools are automatically registered for Jump Start and encouraged to attend.
