Tacoma Public Schools Special Education Records for students who have left the Special Education program in 2012-2015 will be destroyed on August 31, 2022 per the Washington State Retention Schedule and WAC 392-172A-05235.
To obtain the records, the former student (if over 18) or guardian (if under 18) must pick them up at 608 S 8th Street, Room 116, Tacoma, or mail a signed letter to PO Box 1357 Tacoma, WA 98401-1357 Attn: Student Records requesting the records be mailed. In either case, photo ID is required. Please call 253-571-1076 or email RECORDS@tacoma.k12.wa.us.
