Acquisitions

Acquisition of new properties and facilities is sometimes necessary to support educational programming and the district’s evolving operational needs.

Recent acquisitions include:

• Units #301 and #401 at 1117 Broadway in downtown Tacoma to expand TPS-owned space in the “Ted Brown Building” for School of the Arts programming and reduce the need for leased space elsewhere downtown.
• Two Pierce County parcels on South 35^th Street to support the construction of new sports fields at Lincoln High School.
