Program Description
Sponsored by Gensco, this specialized Forklift Certification Training Program is designed exclusively for 18-year-old students looking to gain essential skills for warehouse and industrial operations. This hands-on program provides comprehensive training in forklift operation, workplace safety, and material handling best practices.
Students will receive expert instruction on forklift mechanics, load handling, and OSHA safety regulations, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-world warehouse environments. The training includes both classroom learning and practical exercises, culminating in an official forklift operator certification upon successful completion.

- Forklift operation fundamentals and controls

- Pre-operation inspections and maintenance

Participants will leave with a recognized forklift certification, opening doors to employment opportunities in manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain industries. Must be 18 years old to enroll.
2025 Program Details
- Application process: Invitation only, if interested talk with a CTE teacher, your Assistant Principal, or email Jeff Klancke
- Program dates: July 2025 (dates will be published by the end of March). Program time is between 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- Notification of selected applicants: By the end of May.

- Special considerations for this program:
- Applicants MUST be 18
- A completed resume by the end of training, for interviews with Gensco and/or Kroger.
- Valid driver's license required
- Closed-toe shoes and weather appropriate attire. Instruction occurs outdoors (rain or shine).
