Community Partnerships
Our Community Partnerships Office grows relationships between Tacoma students, families, schools, and the community to further academic success and support the whole child.
Partnership
Tacoma Public Schools values the support of the non-profit and business community. A formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) or contract may be in order if we are partnering for a youth program, goods and services, or an internship program.
In support of a school or the district, one-time or recurring donations, as well as facilitating an employee volunteer activity, are welcome!

Shining Star Community Partner Award
The Shining Star Community Partner Award was established in 2014 to acknowledge that when it comes to student success, we cannot do it alone.
We honor a community partner or volunteer each month at a school board meeting to thank them for making a difference in the lives of our students and families.
Volunteer
Whether you are a community member wanting to coach, a parent interested in helping in a classroom, or a motivated college student looking to give back, we want your help!
