Business and Finance
Our team is responsible for the district’s overall financial health, which includes the development of annual budgets and transparent financial reporting. We uphold ethical, fiscally responsible procurement, grants and contract management. We prioritize safety, customer services and efficiency in our warehouse, printing and transportation operations. Additionally, we strive for precision in staffing projections and allocations, payroll and asset management.
In alignment with the district’s Strategic Plan and Operations Goal, the Business and Finance Division is focused on three goals:

(Chicago, Illinois) -- The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to Tacoma School District No. 10 by Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
Ashburn, VA – 2020 – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is pleased to award Tacoma School District No. 10 the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE). ASBO International’s COE recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency. The school district earned the Certificate of Excellence for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended 2019.
