Operations and Maintenance of School Property

The school board is committed to maintaining safe, attractive, clean and well maintained facilities which are conducive to quality instruction and optimum learning for all students.

Maintenance

The superintendent will provide for a program to maintain the district physical plant and grounds by way of a continuous program of repair, maintenance and reconditioning. Budget recommendations shall be made each year to meet these needs and any such needs arising from an emergency. The program will provide for emergency repairs, planned repairs and deferred and preventive maintenance.

Loss of, or Damage to, School Property

Staff shall ensure that buildings, grounds, equipment and furniture are well cared for or cared for properly. Students or non-students who abuse school property may be disciplined and required to pay for the damage incurred. A student’s grades, transcript or diploma may be withheld until restitution is made.
