Student Insurance

Upon approval by the school board, the district shall distribute application forms for the purchase of private insurance coverage for students.

Student insurance is provided on a voluntary basis to students whose parents apply and pay the premium for the insurance.

The district’s intent is to purchase insurance for all field trips at no expense to the student. However, this could change due to the district’s ability to procure insurance for certain activities.

ROTC summer camp program staff members, and staff members organizing out-of-country field trips or extended field trips, are to contact the Risk Management Department for field trip insurance coverage.

Claim forms may be requested by the student or his/her parent from the insurance company.
