The board of directors appreciates the commitment and contributions made by employees in achieving the mission and goals of the district. It is the intent of the district to recognize outstanding contributions or achievements in performing district duties, special achievements and exemplary public service. The superintendent shall coordinate provisions for designing, implementing, and maintaining district recognition programs.


Individual nonmonetary award amounts may not exceed $50 annually per individual as listed in Resolution No. 1978. The district considers $50 a de minimus amount that is insignificant to a recipient for tax purposes and insignificant to the district to avoid gifting of public funds. Recognition awards purchased by the district may not be given in the form of cash, gift certificates, gift cards, or check issued by the district.
