Students
All Tacoma School District employees, both certified and classified, who have reasonable cause to believe that a child has suffered from abuse or neglect, including physical injury, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation or negligent treatment or maltreatment, shall report such incident. The employee shall ensure that a report is made to the proper law enforcement authorities or to Children's Protective Services and notification of the report is made to the employee's principal or supervisor. The report shall be made at the first opportunity, but no later than forty-eight hours after there is reasonable cause to believe a child has suffered abuse or neglect.
