Giaudrone and Mason track improvements, fields close June 27

Thanks to local voters, we’re making needed improvements and safety upgrades at schools across Tacoma this summer.

The existing turf fields and cinder tracks at Giaudrone and Mason middle schools will be replaced with synthetic turf fields and rubberized track surfacing. Temporary construction fencing will be placed around the fields starting June 27, and they will be closed over the summer. We look forward to opening the track and field to school and community use, and will share a re-opening date as soon as we can.
