Now more than ever, social emotional learning (SEL) is critical to our students’ health and wellbeing. Each year, January is declared Whole Child Month to recognize the work of our schools, staff and partners who support every student across Tacoma in being safe, healthy, engaged, challenged and supported.
Caring adults will always be here to support Tacoma families. As we band together and navigate through the second half of our school year, we invite all you – staff, students, partners and community – to celebrate with us!
Staff, students and community partners are all invited to celebrate and participate in Tacoma’s Whole Child month.
Community - Declare your support for Tacoma students
Community partners municipalities, agencies and organizations are encouraged to declare their support for a whole child approach to educating and serving the children of our community!
On Jan. 5, Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards issued a proclamation announcing Whole Child Month in the City of Tacoma.
