Visitors on Campus

The safety of students and staff is one of our top priorities. We want to ensure that all buildings provide a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. In accordance with Board Policy 6505, we ask that all visitors follow required protocols and expectations

Examples of visitors include, but are not limited to, guardians or family members, classroom observers*, volunteers, guest speakers, law enforcement, and employees not regularly assigned to a specific school or administrative building.

Visitor Requirements

During the school/workday, all visitors are required to:

1.    Enter through the main entrance.

2.    Sign in at the main office.

3.    Provide a form of identification. For staff, this includes a district badge.

Any unauthorized person on school property will be reported to the Principal or their designee. Unauthorized or disorderly persons will be asked to leave and must do so immediately. Refusal to leave may result in police intervention.

*Parents or guardians who wish to observe a classroom or school activity during the school day while school is in session are required to arrange such visits in advance with the classroom teacher(s), with final approval by the Principal, so that class disruption is kept to a minimum.
