Questions about the pay stub
Q: What does H:Ben stand for on my pay stub? Is this my health benefits?
A: H:Ben stands for HISTORY BENEFITS and is a combination amount of medical, dental and life insurance. This amount is the year-to-date (YTD) balance from Jan. 1 through June 5 pay periods.
Q: My pay stub shows two REG PAY fields and one shows a negative figure. What is the second REG PAY and why is it a negative amount?
A: The second REG PAY field is the RESERVE balance for employees who work 10-months of a 12-month contract. This amount will be allocated to the employee over the next pay periods until the end of their contract or their next assignment begins.
Q: Regence is my health insurance coverage but I don't see it on my pay stub.
A: Regence should be listed as BASIC on your pay stub.
Q: Listed under Deductions YTD column is a DIR DEP (Direct Deposit) field and this amount does not match the amount in the Direct Deposit box. Where did this amount come from?
A: This amount is the balance of direct deposit carried over from Jan. 1 through June 5 pay periods. Lawson does not consider this amount a deduction and lists it under YTD totals. This amount will not change on future pay stubs.
Q: My pay check or stub has different abbreviations under deductions and wages. How can I find out what they mean?
A: Deduction and wage codes are still defined the same but are now abbreviated differently. View a quick reference list of deduction and wage codes here.
Q: What are the extra pay notices in the pay stub going to look like? Will it show up on the pay stub?
A: The pay stub will contain descriptions and amounts for extra pay items.

: When will teachers be able to login to approve their own time?
A: Current processes for TIP approval will not change. Also, the TIP application will remain the same. Possible future consideration to replace TIP may be a future project but is not in the current plan.
