Until 2013, students can still earn a diploma without one of the certificates if they:
- Passed the reading WASL
- Passed the writing WASL
- Take math WASL in 2008
- Pass 1.0 credit in math in 2008
Graduating classes of 2009-10 must earn 2.0 math credits after student's 10th grade year.
Beginning with the class of 2013, students will be required to earn the Certificat of Academic Achievement by meeting state learning standards in reading, writing, math and science.
