Climate Survey for Parents – Spring 2010

The survey for Elementary schools is available from March 10 to May 7, 2010.

The surveys for Middle and High schools will become available April 21 to May 21, 2010 (after Student-Led Conferences).

Tacoma Public Schools values input from parents, students and staff. This is the second year for the Climate Survey and we hope to gain valuable information so we may continue to improve our school system.

There are three Climate Surveys; Parents, Students and Staff. Each survey is designed to gather opinions and perceptions regarding school climate, Student-Led Conferences, safety, communication, diversity and student learning. The surveys have less than 20 questions and are appropriately worded for the target audience.

The Parent survey should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. All responses are strictly anonymous and the survey is voluntary.

Please contact your child’s school if you wish to have your student exempt from participation in the Student Survey.
