Truman Middle School Music Boosters will sponsor free master classes by members of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band on Monday, Oct. 5, from 3–4 p.m. at Truman Middle School, 3501 North 35th St., Tacoma. Master classes will be offered for the flute, saxophone, clarinet and trumpet for middle and high school students in the area.
“The President’s Own” Marine Band performs for the President and is in the Seattle area every five years, according to David Cripe, Truman band director. For more information on the master classes, contact Cripe at dcripe@tacoma.k12.wa.us.
