Tacoma — Tacoma Council PTA will celebrate its milestone 100th birthday at an event planned for PTA Founder’s Day, February 17, 2011. The celebration will take place at Lincoln High School’s Cafeteria and Auditorium, 701 S. 37th St., Tacoma, with the doors opening at 4:30 p.m. for a reception and the program beginning at 5:30 p.m. The evening is dedicated to remembering PTA’s past accomplishments and how Tacoma Council PTA (which comprises the current 38 individual school PTAs) has shaped many positive changes in education and Tacoma’s schools.
Tacoma Council PTA is inviting all past PTA leaders and members as well as current leaders and members to the Feb. 17 celebration.
