The Tacoma Public Schools is proud to announce that 70 students are recipients of the Elizabeth Wesley Youth Merit Incentive Award. The Elizabeth Wesley Youth Merit Incentive Award Program, which recognizes and honors African-American youth in Tacoma-Pierce County for their academic achievement, was established in 1996. The program is a community partnership among individuals, businesses and organizations that rewards youth for academic achievement and community service.
This award is presented annually to qualified students for their academic progress, community service and good citizenship. Each recipient of the Elizabeth Wesley Youth Merit Incentive Award will receive $350.
