The Seahawks and the U.S. Army will honor Mt. Tahoma High School senior Ronald Baines on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Tahoma stadium as “Player of the Week” for his weekly performance, leadership, reliability, dedication to academics and community involvement. Seahawks quarterback Charlie Fry will congratulate Baines.
Baines set a school record by rushing for 421 yards in his first football game this season and 229 yards in his second game. He has the fifth best record in the state, according to Athletic Director John Jones.
“Baines is a four-year starter here at Mt. Tahoma. He plays really hard and is a nice kid,” said Jones.
