Updated: Levies passing

The Feb. 9 ballot propositions are passing as of the most recent count, according to election returns posted by the Pierce County Auditor’s Office. Below are the results as of Feb. 18.

Educational Programs & Operations Levy
65.66% YES

Proposition 2:
School Facility Improvements & Technology Upgrades Levy
 59.68% YES

Both levies require a 50 percent simple majority vote to pass.

A sincere ‘thank you’ to the community and staff whose hard work made these positive results possible for our students and our schools,” said Dr. Art Jarvis, superintendent, Tacoma Public Schools.

Ballots postmarked Feb. 9 will continue to be counted each day by Pierce County.
