The school district's Head Start program offers free preschool for low-income families living within the Tacoma Public Schools boundaries.
Head Start will offer registration appointments at Lister, Jefferson and McCarver elementary schools the week of Aug. 3. Eligible children must turn four years old before March 31, 2010.
