Gray Middle School alumni will be able to cruise the halls at 3109 S. 60th St., from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 16, and bring back memories of their days at Gray at one last event before the staff and students transition to the new school in January. Gray opened in 1926 and was formally dedicated on Dec. 16, 1926.
The event will include Gray reflections by the decade and a Concert in the Park lead by Sam Tooley, band director. Sam Reed, guest band director, will lead the Alumni Band in the Gray Fight Song. The Governor’s proclamation will be read on the 82nd anniversary of Gray’s dedication. In addition, there will be a silent auction, guestbook sign-in; a Mt. Tahoma High School quartet performance, a book sale and tours of the building. Be sure to check out Memorabilia Hall.
