The Tacoma Public Schools and the Tacoma UniServ Council will host a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 27, to discuss the results of the five community conversation circles held between Nov. 5 and Dec. 16. All interested people are invited to the event to be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Creighton Scouting Headquarters, 4802 S. 19th St. Food and childcare will be provided.
“We were pleased by the number of employees, parents, community members and organizations that participated in the conversation circles,” said Lynn MacDonald, UniServ representative with the Tacoma Education Association. ” We look forward to sharing the general trends and themes that surfaced during the conversations. We will also be prioritizing the suggestions made to the question, “What can all of us (the employees, the union, the administration, parents and community members) do together to improve the chances of children and the district achieving their dreams for public education?”
