Thank you for your interest in Tacoma Public Schools. To better serve applicants to the District, we have an online applicant tracking system. This powerful tool provides:
- Candidate online job application, including the ability to submit resumes and letters of interest
- Applicant access to personal and application information 24 hours a day/7 days a week
- Greater security in the application process since social security numbers are no longer requested
- Better communication with applicants through the use of email
- Administrator online screening of applicant data
- Many other advantages
This system requires that you have an active EMAIL account. If you do not have one you can obtain an account by searching the internet for email services. You can also find FREE EMAIL services by searching for Free Email.
To ensure receipt of your online password please add the domain name tacoma.k12.wa.us to your safe list. Look for an e-mail from hrwebapp@tacoma.k12.wa.us.
If you are an MSN, Hotmail or Live user you must update your safe list or the email will be rejected as spam.
To Register in the system, you will be asked to supply your contact information, (including an email address) and a password will be emailed to you. You will use your email address and the password to log into the system. To log onto the system thereafter use the Registered User option. You may change your password by clicking on My Profile once logged into the application. This process is only required one time. Do NOT register twice using different names and/or different email addresses as doing so will cause you to have separate records within the system. If you do not have access to a computer you may visit our office where we have stations set up for your convenience.
Attention MAC users: If you are using a MAC you may experience difficulties entering dates in this system if you are using the Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser. If your MAC came with the Safari Internet Browser you will find using it to be more successful. You may also use Netscape; however, Firefox is another browser that seems to be problematic with dates. Also the menu navigation will not work properly due to lack of full support for CSS tags.
